Repairs, servicing and electrical safety testing for funded assistive technology — hoists, beds, power chairs, scooters and recliners — at the participant's home or SIL/SDA property, with invoices a plan manager can process first time.
One technician attends every visit, so participants see the same face rather than a roster.
Funded equipment gets prescribed carefully and then maintained by nobody in particular. A power chair is assessed by an OT, quoted by a supplier, delivered — and from that day forward its upkeep depends on whoever notices something wrong. Usually that is the participant, and usually the noticing happens after the failure.
The consequence is predictable. A battery that could have been replaced during a planned visit becomes an emergency call-out and several days without mobility. A hoist stays in service with a cracked castor because reporting it felt like a bigger job than living with it.
Ampcare covers the maintenance side: scheduled servicing so faults surface early, repairs done at the participant's home rather than by removing the equipment, and a record of every visit against the item so the next person to look after it is not starting from nothing.
Written so a plan manager can claim it without emailing back for detail.
Work is arranged four different ways depending on who is involved. All of them start with a phone call and a quote before anything is charged.
Call, get a quote, approve it. Invoice comes to you itemised for your own records and claim.
Quote to you, invoice sent straight to your plan manager in the format they need, with you copied in.
Book for your participant with their consent, receive the service report, and stay copied on everything.
Test & tag the house and service the AT in it on the same visit, billed per site with bulk item rates.
Log in from a phone to see what has been tested or serviced, what passed, and what is due next — and report a fault without having to phone anyone. Access is scoped to that participant's items and is never shared between clients. There is no fee for it, ever.
Watch the 53-second portal demoSelf-managed and plan-managed participants can book directly. Invoices are itemised with the ABN, service date, participant name, equipment detail and labour separated from parts, which is the format plan managers need to process a claim without going back and forth.
Yes. The service is fully mobile across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay, so equipment is repaired where it is used. Nothing has to be transported, which matters most for the people least able to transport it.
Yes, and this is the most common way work is arranged. Coordinators and occupational therapists can book, receive the report and be copied on the invoice, with the participant's consent.
Their own equipment only — what was tested or serviced, when, what passed, and what is due next. Participant access is scoped to their own items and is never shared between clients. Portal access costs nothing.
Repair and maintenance of assistive technology is a recognised part of keeping funded equipment usable, though the specific support category and available funding differ from plan to plan. A quote is provided before work starts so it can be checked against the plan, and Ampcare does not advise on plan funding itself — that is a conversation for the participant, their coordinator or plan manager.
Yes — a current Blue Card, first aid certification and $5 million public liability insurance, plus a Restricted Electrical Work Licence covering equipment up to 250VAC. Documentation can be provided on request before a first visit.
Quote first, so it can be checked against the plan before anything is approved.
